In addition to reviewing your medical history and a physical exam, your physician will order one or more of the diagnostic procedures:
- X-ray
- MRI
- CT or CAT scan
- Arthroscopy which is a minimally invasive procedure on a joint to examine and sometimes treatment damage
- Radionuclide bone scan which uses a very small amount of radioactive material to examine blood flow to the bone and cell activity within the bone
