In addition to reviewing your medical history and a physical exam, your physician will order one or more of the diagnostic procedures:

  • X-ray
  • MRI
  • CT or CAT scan
  • Arthroscopy which is a minimally invasive procedure on a joint to examine and sometimes treatment damage
  • Radionuclide bone scan which uses a very small amount of radioactive material to examine blood flow to the bone and cell activity within the bone

Treatment
